George Belasco & O Cao Andalu is a postpunk band from Fortaleza (CE, Brazil) that has been flirting with synthpunk, surf music, krautrock and no-wave since 2006. Such distinct influences reverberates old school electronics, dirty guitars and booming riffs out of a specific time. The band's name was taken from the surrealist film An Andalusian Dog (1928), by Luis Buñuel.

In January 2019, after a 10 years break, George Belasco & O Cao Andaluz recorded their first album, entitled "Os Cães Veem Coisas" (Dogs See Things), a partnership with label Mercurio Musica label. George Belasco (vocals / guitar / synths), Lucas Jereissati (bass), Felipe Couto (guitar / synths) and Leo Mamede (drums) released 10 songs about restlessness and the noise of marginal living. 10 eyes on things off axis, on the path of the streets and roads. The album recieved good reviews , especially the site Bandcamp, one of the largest independent music portals in the world, which put the band in the section This Week's Essential Releases, commenting the main albums released in the week.

The album's title is a tribute to a local writer Moreira Campos. "Dizem que os caes veem coisas" (They say dogs see things) was his last book published. "Choosing Moreira Campos is not only a reference to a local talent, but also says pretty much about the lack of memory and values attributed to our city. The writer's works were scattered without due respect and his house demolished to become a mall parking lot."
